Artist's Comments My version of the Pandora's box story. I remember when I first saw the movie "Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life" (the movie referes to the Pandora's box mythology), I remember a line that Lara (Angelina Jolie) said: she said that according to the original legend, when Pandora opened the box the gods had given to her, she let all the plagues of the Earth escaped and she suddenly cried black acid tears. So, I've decided to illustrate this version, and also make some dark clouds taking the sky over with some rays of light trying to survive. Isn't it crazy that in almost every mythologies or religions, the women are always blamed for bad things happening on Earth? I'm glad I'm not a religious person. Anyway, I hope you like it! Je me souviens de la première fois que j'ai vu le film "Tomb Raider: Le Berceau de la Vie" (le film parle de la légende de la boite de Pandore), je me souviens d'une replique de Lara (Angelina Jolie): elle disait que selon la légende, quand Pandore ouvrit la boite que les dieux lui avaient confiée, elle libéra tous les maux de la Terre et se mit à pleurer des larmes d'acide noir. Donc je me suis dit que j'allais illustrer cette interpretation, et j'ai aussi ajouté des nuages sombres, comme le mal qui engloutit la Terre et où quelques rayons de lumière essayent de subsister. C'est marrant comme dans presque toutes les mythologies ou les religions, c'est toujours les femmes qu'on accusent des mauvaises choses qui arrivent. Je suis bien contente ne pas être croyante. Bref, j'espère que ça vous plait!  LOL! Well, some people never learn and curiosity killed the cat in the end. Really moody and nice atmosphere in this and a great job with the blending and overall composition! But I am loving the black tears! The clouds look like they're covering up the last of the suns rays which probably symbolizes that it's gonna be dark for Pandora from now on. No wonder she's crying!
